Georgia CRUSH 16U Girls finish 3rd
at AAU D-II Nationals!
Congratulations to The Georgia Crush 16U Girls who finished 3rd in the AAU D-II Nationals Classic Division at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, FL. The girls battled some tough competition all week finishing with a 59-43 3rd place victory versus the Florida Wildcats. Kaycee Cash had an outstanding tournament averaging over 20 points per contest with 14 rebounds per game. Sara Graf (15 points vs. SC Shooting Stars) and Emily DeMaio (10 points vs. Waverunners) controlled the team from the guard position while McKenzie Fortson (10 ppg) shot lights out from the outside. Torrie Miers (10 pts) stepped up huge with some timely buckets versus the Wildcats in the 3rd place Final. Jamie Rhinehart capped off the 3rd place victory with a deep 3 from the wing. Ashlyn Johns (4 ppg and 7 rpg), Courtney Hammer (9 pts vs. SC Shooting Stars), Lindsay Irvine (6 ppg), Scottlyn James (6 pts vs. SC Shooting Stars), Kailey Hammer (6 pts vs. Florida Storm & 100% FT) and Taylor Kimber (5 pts vs. Florida Storm) were huge contributors to help the team in victories over Waterbury, CT. , Florida Storm, Shooting Stars from SC, and Florida Wildcats.
GA CRUSH 16U Concludes season in
Peach State Summer Invitational
The 16U GA Crush team participated in the 6th Annual Peach State Summer Invitational July 24-26, 2010. Teams from all over the country (California, Texas, Ohio, Minnesota, NJ, NY, LA, AL, etc.) competed in a 3 day Bracket Invitational. College coaches from over 115 schools attended to Showcase/Exposure Event. The GA Crush girls competed hard in games against teams from Alabama, Minnesota, Louisiana, and Georgia. Many coaches have shown interest in current rising Seniors along with our younger players. Congrats on a great season!!
